Hi Reader, Happy New Year from Hal9! ๐ Welcome to the first Hal9 Weekly of 2026 โ insights from our founder Javier on turning AI ideas into real products. As we kick off the new year, we're excited to share practical frameworks, founder stories, and what we've learned from helping startups ship faster. Javier's Insights:How We Tripled Our Customer Base (And What Actually Mattered) This past year, we tripled our customer base at Hal9. But honestly? That's not what I'm most proud of. What really stands out is watching the team grow into their roles. Aprillia, Tracy, and Pedro started presenting at conferences. Javier Iรฑaki took over leading engineering. Everyone leveled up in ways I didn't expect. We also finally got organized. For the first time, we have actual specialization:
It sounds basic, but it's the difference between scrambling every day and actually running a company. The bittersweet part? We're still too distributed to celebrate together. 33% of the team is in Mexico, 33% in Seattle, 34% scattered everywhere else. So we threw two Christmas partiesโone in Mexico City, one in Seattle (complete with karaoke). Someday we'll get everyone in the same room. But for now, I'm just grateful for how far this team has come. Here's to 2025 โ may it bring more growth, more clarity, and maybe one epic team gathering. Hi Reader, Welcome to Hal9 Weekly โ insights from our founder Javier on turning AI ideas into real products. Javier's Insights The "AWS for AI" moment โ and what it means for founders A prospect said something to me last week that stopped me mid-sentence. "I don't see you as an agency. Agencies are dead and done โ they're not lean the way you're doing it. The way I see you, you're kind of like AWS for people and AI." He nailed exactly what we're building at Hal9 โ before I even finished...

Javier's Insights: Building in Public: How We're Trying to Scale Without Losing What Works Here's the honest truth about where Hal9 is right now. What's working: posts like this one, personalized conversations, earning trust one founder at a time. Our customers love it. But it doesn't scale โ and we know it. So we're experimenting, and we're doing it in public. For a limited time,...
Hi Reader, Welcome to Hal9 Weekly โ insights from our founder Javier on turning AI ideas into real products. Javier's Insights: We Just Shipped Hal9 1.0.0 โ Here's the Bet We're Making We just released Hal9 1.0.0 โ and it's already trending. But the version number isn't the real story. The story is what we learned across five years of building. Back in 2021, we shipped 0.4.0. It was a code-first tool built mostly for data analytics. By 2024, 0.8.0 had evolved into a generic AI platform โ...
